Boots' care was centred around comfort, familiarity, as I've known him since he was a kitten, and general interaction. I followed feeding routines, refreshed water, and spent time offering quiet company, allowing Boots to approach when ready. He had a little window seat at the top of the stairs where he’d sit and watch over his garden and snooze.
This sit highlighted how trust with cats grows through respecting independence, maintaining routine, and offering presence without pressure — Boots was the first cat I have provided care for!

Boots quickly settled into his routine, which was lovely to see, as in the beginning, he wasn't eating enough, making the experience smooth and enjoyable for everyone.
