Time with Harley focused on routine, reassurance, and steady companionship. Alongside feeding and regular toilet breaks, I prioritised maintaining a calm rhythm to the sessions, allowing Harley to feel settled and secure in a familiar environment.
Harley is my oldest sisterās Collie-Labrador cross, named after Harley Quinn from the DC universe. Iāve known her since she was a puppy in 2020, and this was my first experience feeding and handling raw dog food (alongside providing her usual treats, exercise, and enrichment).
When you play fetch with Harley you need to use two balls, as she wont let go of the first until the second one is mid air and then you repeat. Very cute quirk, she really wants to play fetch but not let you have her toys.
These sessions deepened my understanding of how trust build through consistency ā showing in the same way with quiet reliability.
Sessions:
š¤ Full weekend care (04ā05/06/2022) ā provided all-day and overnight care including raw feeding, exercise, enrichment, and companionship.
āļø Drop-in visits (17/07/2022 & 24/07/2022) ā late afternoon care until her owner returned from work in the evening.
š Short visits (08 & 09/08/2022) ā daily play, enrichment, and companionship during late mornings to afternoons.
ā Drop-in visit (02/08/2023) ā provided play, enrichment, and companionship in the late morning to afternoon.

Caring for Harley across different routines has expanded my confidence in raw feeding and reinforced my adaptability in meeting the needs of individual pets.
